Several UPPA members participated in the public symposium entitled "Albert Einstein: Sentenaryo ng Teoryang General Relativity" last March 14, 2016 which was held in commemoration of Einstein's 137th birthday as well as the recent detection of gravitational waves.

UP Physics Association alumnus places 4th in 2014 bar exam
Mark Leo P. Bejemino — a UPPA alumnus — placed 4th in the 2014 bar exam with a score of 84.55%.
A graduate of the UP College of Law, Mr. Bejemino took his undergraduate studies in the National Institute of Physics. He was also a member of the Instrumentation Physics Laboratory under the Complex Systems Group.
Aside from Mr. Bejemino, the other bar topnotchers include Irene Mae B. Alcobilla from San Beda College - Manila (85.5%), Christian A. Drilon from Ateneo de Manila University (85.45%) and Sandra Mae T. Magalang from the University of the Philippines (84.6%).
The 2014 Philippine Bar Examination took place during the month of October. Of the 5,984 takers, 1,126 examinees (18.82%) got a passing percentage of at least 73%.
